Turf Doctor

Specialist biological programmes — a diagnosis-and-recommendation engine for biostimulants (amino acids, humic and fulvic acids, seaweed, silicon, microbes) built for sustainable turf management. A standalone add-on module.

SubscriptionAn add-on module to Foundation at €1,990 / year — or the whole platform with Mastery at €5,990 / year.

Tools in this discipline

Turf Doctor · Biostimulants

Biostimulant selection for integrated, sustainable turf management. Includes a library of 20 element cards, a diagnostic and recommendation engine, C3 growth potential, biological assessment, 14 challenges, area-specific management levels and a sourced database of 54 products. Includes Open-Meteo weather retrieval and a water balance. The database contains biostimulant products only.

What the term meansBiostimulants (seaweed extracts, humic substances, amino acids and the like) are neither fertilisers nor pesticides — they support the plant's own stress tolerance and rooting. Effects are real but condition-dependent, so choose by diagnosis, not sales pitch.

Turf Doctor · Wetting Agents

Moisture diagnosis and wetting-agent selection. Includes VWC profile interpretation from the surface to 20 cm depth, rootzone moisture constants, a 36-product database with verified chemistry categories, a field-trial log and a glossary. Chemistry categories distinguish polymer-based products from organic or biodegradable products. Includes an Open-Meteo water balance.

What the term meansWetting agents are surfactants that help water infiltrate water-repellent rootzones (dry patch) evenly. Product and programme are chosen by problem: penetrant, re-distributor or retainer.

Turf Doctor · Nutrients

Nutrient diagnosis and sustainable fertility. Includes multi-method soil analysis using Vuorinen, Olsen, Bray and Mehlich-3 methods with conversions, PDF and text import, turf and root assessment with deficiency-symptom mapping, and nutrient-specific MLSN and STERF recommendations. The Empirical MLSN tab derives a guideline from Finnish Vuorinen data using the 10th percentile and a log-logistic fit at two levels: the course’s own dataset and the platform-wide anonymised pooled dataset.

Turf Doctor · Disease Intelligence

Disease identification, forecasting and condition-based management for cool-season sports turf. A research-based Nordic disease library (trilingual names and taxonomy provenance), guided differential diagnosis, weather-driven disease pressure from Open-Meteo with a leaf-wetness estimate, the validated Smith–Kerns dollar-spot model and research-based risk indices for the other diseases (kept clearly distinct from validated forecasts), explainable risk drivers, a Disease Log with negative inspections, a course-specific learning fingerprint and corrective agronomic Action Cards that flow to the Operations Board. Decision support, not a lab replacement.
